The Process -
Making a friend of cause and effect

The effect? You. Right this moment. How you felt when you woke up today. How you spent your time. How you see the role of food in your life. What you plan to eat at your next meal. Yes, these are all products of one of the greatest "causes" we as humans experience: the thousands of meals we've already eaten.

Some have despaired, and resigned themselves to genetics, fad diets, or just plain luck, feeling that they have no escape from our leading diseases, or unwanted weight.

Let's talk about those thousands of meals again for a moment. If you're 40 years old, you've likely eaten over 43,000 of them! For many, those meals have followed a similar set of rules. Ever watch a movie and feel like you can predict what's going to happen for the rest of it? That may be because of a tool called a plot formula. As long as the writers stick to it, you need not worry about too many surprises. For most, there has been a "formula" embedded into their diets their whole lives - even when they've made healthy changes. As long as it's present, we can expect what we've always gotten - or worse.
